Germany gets its next battery gigafactory

The electrification of transportation accelerates tremendously. Northvolt just announced to build their third battery gigafactory in northern Germany with capacity up to 60 GWh.

Alongside battery production, Northvolt will target an on-site battery recycling plant which will ensure efficient reuse of byproducts from the production process and provide a sustainable solution for end-of-life electric vehicle batteries recovered from European markets.
